Mostly retro now. Just finished EDF6 the other day and am working through Valkyrie Profile 2 on hard. Between that and reading Tsukihime for the first time, I haven't touched newer releases too often the last couple of years.

Always feels like there's some dumbshit "gotcha" hidden in it that will ruin it for me along with shitty practices. Luckily there's hundreds of already released games that are super unique I can boot up instead since the graphical fidelity isn't an issue for me.

Highly recommend the Kagero series from the PS1. Starts with Invitiation To Darkness. Weird but great games. Only done the first 3 so far and loved all of them for different reasons.

I don't play AAA games. Last ones I played were Elden Ring, Doom Eternal, and uh...MGS V.
I mostly play recent games, though. Indie or otherwise. Non-AAA releases from publishers.
Booted up SNES9X just the other week though, never go too long without playing something retro.

I love all games but can't help myself play nothing beside multiplayer 99% of the time.

mostly modern games but sometimes I replay/try out new retro games. A few years ago I tried out banjo kazooie and final fantasy 7 for the first time and loved both of those games. I haven't played all of the final fantasies or rare 3D platformers yet but I've been meaning to. starting new games is just hard for me with adhd
