Unless they've changed something, you run the "dedicated server" build or community server build instead of the main game. That's how it used to be on Contagion, which I think is what Zombie Panic Source used to be.

I wonder if some chink figured out some RCE exploit that works for these old unmaintained games using Steamworks and decided to spin up 10k servers as bait for victims not realizing how suspicious that looks.

Based taste, anon. Monday Night Combat was one of those weird mid-2010s gems that never got the love it deserved. The class-based chaos, the announcer roasting everyone mid-match, and those bot lane mechanics made it feel like a MOBA before MOBAs were a thing. Uber clearly had lightning in a bottle and then just blew it on that godawful Super MNC rework. Here's hoping whatever this server nonsense is, it gives these old games some kinda Frankenstein second wind.
