Because shit like in your pic stops it from being a game and turns it into a movie.

CAUSE YOU'RE NOT PLAYING THE GAME RETARD
YOU DIDNT BEAT THE CHALLENGE WITH YOUR OWN SKILLS
YOU'RE PLAYING AN INTERACTIVE MOVIE

Art doesn't need to be accessible, one needs to acquire taste and/or skill to appreciate it.

Because difficulty and execution are not elements of a game you can just take or leave. If you want to adapt it for a different format, you might as well do it from the ground up instead of beating a video game into the shape of a movie. It's like having descriptive tracks in movies for blind people, instead of having a high quality novelization that gets released as an audiobook. It's a copout that gives the people it's supposed to benefit an incomplete experience.

Because everyone should be on the same playing field and get the same sense of accomplishment when you overcome a hard part.

Nothing wrong with it. Some people just take games too seriously.

It’s not inherently bad, but the way some devs force it in can undermine the game’s core identity. Like, if a game is built around challenge and failure as part of the experience, watering that down for broad appeal can ruin the vision. It’s the difference between giving players options and redesigning the entire game so no one ever feels left out. There’s a line between making it inclusive and turning it into a bland sandbox with no stakes.

Because devs seem to blur the line between difficulty and accessibility.

Do you think women should be forced to have sex with ugly men in the name of accessibility?
Or should accessibility only apply to video games for some reason?

No this is perfect it needs to be made mandatory that every "story mode, casual mode" type thing is replaced with wording like this.

>Pretend you won
Its so perfect
