>2000s kid
How exactly is a zoomer, someone born in the 2000s a "2000s kid"? You were too young to experience the early years after your birth, on top of that too young to understand your surroundings. Always add an average of 10 years therefore a zoomer would be a 2010s kid. Likewise if you were born in the 90s, you're a 2000s kid.

millennial humor was more cringe and i say this as a millennial.

>"ZING"
>"hi sorry, i'm dad"

granted, much of this cringe came from reddit but a lot of that spilled out from there like dad jokes and cringe puns

The ESL poster strikes again, also...
>what is an average of 10 years
>thinks the experiences he got when he was 5 is the same as discovering things on his own and not what is presented or influenced by the people around you
You're not very smart you know that. Your discovery of things when you were that age was because of your siblings, whatever was most influential to you and whoever you look up to. This has nothing to do with independent discovery outside of what was closest to you, physically, thus my argument that most people got the whole "X decade" wrong. You were presented with the things that your older siblings enjoyed, if there is an age gap, you would be consuming culture that is not prevalent of your era (albeit this isn't a bad thing). As you get older, you're more likely to be independent of your immediate surroundings and therefore gravitate to whatever yours peers of your age are into, what the industry is marketing towards your age group.

My memories start when I was 3 years old, I literally remembered some of the things when I was 3. But that has nothing to do with forming an identity, especially one of that is marketed by the capitalist industry.

Because all they know is uninspired humor because they refuse to watch anything from the 80s or 90s
And because for YEARS "humor" has been either too safe, or gratuitously overkill, with no real effort to find a middle ground
I'm sure there's other reasons, but those are my leading thoughts

nobody ever said anything about it being independent or whatever unc
you were there, you experienced the things that were available to you at that time, if a recent game just came and it was the hot shit and everyone who's older than you was playing it then most likely than not they also influenced you to experience it at the same time so what
you don't have to even experience things directly to have a vivid memory about them, for many it's actually watching older brother play vidya and shit because he got the family computer (remember when they were a thing?) for himself

Pretty much. They would never watch Back to the Future because they think it's "millennial cringe" (never mind it came out when the oldest millennials were 2 years old). It's true that it inspired cancer like Rick and Morty but that doesn't mean it isn't brilliant.

I was 10 years old in 2007, i vividly remember shit i did at that time. If you only consider online shit, i was still a "2000's kid" because i have memories of fiending for browser games like DragonFable, Travian, Runescape etc, but i remember the sudden evolution from normal cellphones to shit like a Motorola V8 (flip phones in general), or the announcement of the first iPhone, shit, i remember even coming here to 4chan to see naked women when i was 11 ~ 12.
Music was something, admittedly, i was very influenced by other people at the beginning. I remember my cousin (who's 10 years older than me) showed up at my grandma's house with a guitar when i was 6 and that was THE THING that made me want to learn how to play the guitar (and i did learn!), but he also introduced me to shit like Elvis Presley, he also taught me about emulation, so even on my shitty 2003 computer without a dedicated GPU i could play some fun games from older generations. After learning the basics about dad rock i kinda started to discover bands on my own, of course that was amplified 10x when i was in high school, but i still have fond memories on the 2000's.

I don't know why people wanna dismiss early zoomers as being the same as 18 year old zoomers (who were literally born in 2007 and could not remember anything from the 2000's) when we actually lived through all of the 2000's, albeit as a kid.

You guys are just saying non-sense, my sister was born in 91 and she thinks ALL that shit is corny as fuck. I was born in 97 and my love for movies made me go back and watch all type of movies, from Back to the Future, to Rocky, Rambo, Apocalypse Now, Reservoir Dogs, Jurassic Park, Star Wars 4 ~ 6, Network, Taxi Driver, King of Comedy etc.
Some people are nigger cattle and they will never listen to music that's not being played on the radio and shoved down their throats, other people will look up for other things from past generations out of curiosity and they will realize that there's some good shit out there. I bet there's some Gen Alpha right now that is 14 ~ 15 and learning about Back to the Future or Nirvana and they are pumped to look back and consume media from older generations.

We mocked them back in the first half of the 2010s, they're called "le wrong generation". It's fine to appreciate and enjoy medias from the past, but not when you start building an antithesis identity based from it. Old /mu/ was very against it.
