Switched just recently to Bazzite/Fedora. My only complaint is that the default file explorer (Dolphin) has a non-functional search engine. For games I was impressed with how seamless they've made the various compatibility layers, such as being able to install battlenet through lutris and the games all just werk. Even the anti-cheat riddled shit works.

I tried installing two distros, one gave me errors and wouldn't install and the other kept crashing just clicking through desktop menus. I can install Windows and it just works, until Linux can at least do that it's useless to the majority of people.
>>715466609 I tried that, but it's a hassle and Linux just does most things better. I only keep a Windows install for CAD and work stuff. >>715466674 >Tiny NTFS boot drive >Mount an ext4 drive with WSL2 Yep, it's Windows time.
After some hiccups i have a linux desktop now Still a couple of things I can't get working, namely, installing vst plugins into ableton. But other than that, all the games I play seemingly work fine Its definitely nice opening bazzar and just having free community made flatpaks available up for download >mfw downloading emulators from my desktop
>>715469783 Do you know a good linux app for autotune? I want to record some bangers

Windows has had vulnerabilities so why are you using Windows?

>>715466396 (OP) I literally just tried to like half an hour ago.
I think i'll stay on windows for now. Linux is nice but the amount of autism i had to muster to make a normie-friendly distro of all things have the same functionality i need is just too much and there's still stuff that just does not want to work. It did run Ricochet pretty well however
>>715466396 (OP) Aye, changing during the last month of it's support EOL. Fuck microcuck. Bloated spyware OS. Truth is anyone that isn't changing is just a lazy bastard. Even in gaming, the only thing you are concerned of is the newest AAA slop which usually aren't even that great early into their life so it's better to get later, on sale and with down the stream linux compat.

>>715471719 Pulseaudio is a longstanding audio server that just works for simple purposes, where pipewire tries to be more all-encompassing and low-latency, but is potentially slightly more complicated to configure. The beauty of minimal distros is that you can choose whatever you need for your own purpose. >>715469071 Very curious which distros you installed and how you managed to fail lmao
