What was the last spess gaem you played?
Was it good?

I played some some indie EAslop called Space Haven because it was at banana price on last steam sale, and i got the itch.
It the core is basicaly Rimworld but in space, but with some touches of Starsector with a fair dose of jank. You build your ship(s) tile by tile from scavenged resources you find across space, and you also have tard wrangle your crew into not being waste of food.
It was alright for the price and while the novelty lasted. But the gameplay was basicaly hopping around and scavanging shit before you run out of fuel/food, so that you can go into more dangerous systems without your slightly better ship, to scavange more shit and continue the cycle. But it got tiresome after the novelty of get the hang of the game wore off, and for now it didnt manage to fuck my life those style of games usualy do. Maybe if beat the EAslop great filter and adds more shit to do and cut down on some of the tedium/grind it could be a good game

Don't even play the aforementioned one anymore since the last few updates buckbroke fightercraft from being a thing. Just having a main hub that can move between systems like a rolling convoy while you strip mine everything else was cool as shit.

Underspace will be good if it gets finished but it is very very not finished right now, not just "needs filling in" but basic mechanics just don't work properly
I like it, I play it, but I won't recommend it beyond "keep an eye on this when it's actually playable"

I know real Homeworld niggas don't like it, but I fucking love HW2. I played it before 1 and so 1 felt very clunky and archaic and I didn't like it.

The look, sound, feel of 2, it really clicks with me. The remastered collection, I got the collectors edition with the giant mothership model. New graphics were nice but honestly the original was fine, what pissed me off was the UI losing its minimal design which was a huge part of the games look. Music changes, rerecording the voice actors even though it sounded fucking awful. What were they thinking?

Deserts of Kharak was ok, but gameplay was too frantic more like DoW or CoH where you have to be all over the map all the time.

HW3, the first thing I didn't like was when they made a big deal of changing the carrier design for something that looked boring and lame. Then when they had some sort of closed demo and the gameplay looked shit, I didn't hold out much hope. On release the gay lame story was the final nail and I've still never played it. So yeah fuck those people that ruined Homeworld, now we'll never get another game.

One of my ideas, if I can ever get around to making games, is a sort of Space Truckin. Some blend of economy and transport as has been done in existing space games with pacing more like a Truck Simulator and focusing on operations. Player plots trade routes, manages their cargo (load balancing, environment control, etc), maintains/upgrades their ship (including getting out of the cockpit and dealing with problems that arise). plots actual courses (some amount of orbital dynamic type stuff but also hyperspace tradelanes or jump gates or whatever the fuck), has to manually navigate traffic and docking, etc. And keep it low tech and grungy.

How is X3: Terran Conflict? Got it on sale on GOG years ago and I'm thinking of playing it.
