It was one of the biggest fuck ups when it comes to the hardware, it took until the last few years of the 360 to fix that shitty console.
Don't get me wrong, i loved my 360, but if you have a 360 from before the Slim that shit is on borrowed time.

I have both a PS3 and 360, my PS3 is hooked up to the TV now just for PS1 and PS2 games (emulated, since a fat backwards compatible PS3 is expensive as fuck), but i NEVER touch PS3 games. We're talking about shitty action games like Gears of War, Haze, Killzone, Call of Duty, or some of THE FEW games that are still stuck on that generation. 360 has Lost Odyssey, PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4, Eternal Sonata, Folklore, some other games here and there.
But, overall, the PS3/360 generation was awful.

This was multiplayer at its peak but the Xbox 360 was a shit console. It was an overheating sack of shit and those retards introduced Xbox Live subscription. The Xbox 360 only did well because the PS3 was marketed horribly:

The gen was good-fine up until 2012 or so.
All its major problem on the corpo side of things didn't become a real problem untill then.
And on the games side the biggest issue was that certain genres like JRPGs could not manage the jump to HD development as the market for JRPGs was not big enough to support the necessary AAA team size.
And even those genres lived comfortably on mobile devices like the DS and PSP.

It wad my first non-Nintendo console. It also had some really great arcade games that never get talked about on here. 1 vs 100 was a really cool idea, the games with your avatar like Kingdom for Keflings and Castleminer Z, The Maw, etc. Switching between all that to GoW 2, Halo 3, Cod WaW was peak gaming for me. Socializing freely in lobbies and parties went away very quickly once the PS4 took the spotlight.

I bought 5 360s in 8 years and one PS4 in 10. PS4 is obviously a shitty console.
