BG3 is not better in any way besides graphically. It has almost all the same pitfalls D:OS2 had while having worse writing, worse companions, a worse combat system, an obnoxious dice roll check system and generally less interesting areas. I would have almost humored the arguement that D:OS2 got tons of post release content and that's why it's better except that they already put out the "final" patch for BG3. They've already declared that game complete
