It was true, but not for that reason. I think in JP his rate was higher than other characters (every 5 star should had the same drop chance 1/5), so they "nerfed it" to be in line with the others. That, and Jiyan signature weapon having the wrong effect description really soured the game in JP, and it only recovered in 2.0.

This game has been so confusing for me. I went into it thinking this game would have really good combat. Early game I felt the potential, dodging, learning enemy patterns and parrying timings. However, endgame just devolved into spamming rotations and being almost invincible the whole time. Most of the time I dont even need to use the dodge button, and I completely ignore parrying. Is it supposed to be like this? Why do nobody complain about this?

I also was hyped for 2.0, everyone said the story was really good. But its just the same thing, rover meets girl, then he meets next girl and former girls disppears from the game. Same in the rest of 2.0 patches.

Youtube and reddit keeps glazing as if the story is godlike and the combat is exceptioal. Am I doing something wrong?
