Since you were basically forced to get Mario Kart as digital, I was wondering if this was the generation I would just accept the inevitability of physical dying, but I realized that I still intend to get Bananza physically. So I guess with keys being a thing I'll just be getting Nitnendo's own stuff physically?

Reminder that if you buy digitally (console and PC) you don't own anything and you will be happy.

Physical, always. The only time this is acceptable is if there isn't a physical.

If you're autistic you go digital and store it on the internal memory of the switch 2, the load times vs Internal Memory, SD Express and Cartridge are vastly different, with Internal Memory being king and Cartridge being the worst. Donkey Kong Bananza looks like it's going to be intensive on the switch so best to have it on the internal memory.

Even GOG purchases are revokable

ah yes, good point, I think I may go digital since I don't feel like going to the shop anyway, and I could start downloading it tomorrow

I dont like changing cartridges, but I want at least one switch2 game on cartridge...

Don't worry I'm not stupid, anon. I know every piece of software purchased is a license. Being able to play a game offline and when taken down from the store, because you have it physically, is still objectively more ownership than digitally.

I have a hard drive with thousands of porn games, emulator games etc. but all of my SATA cables are in use by faster SSD's. I am not opening my case, unplugging one of the drives, plugging in the porn drive just to take a picture for you, and put everything back.
Take a flash game folder from my desktop instead, there's a folder somewhere amongst the drives with more flash stuff

Just download it? They only removed the ability to purchase games, you can still download things you already bought.

It's worth it physical. Not a goy card and it's the standard $70, you will also probably play it more than Mario kart. At least I can only play for a few hours of Mario kart and not touch it again for months.

Digital for pirating and owning. Except for GOG, where I buy digital

In Europe digital Switch 2 games cost 10 bucks less (MSRP for Bananza is 70€ digital and 80€ physical), that's something to keep in mind if you can't find a good deal on a physical copy.
