Baldur’s gayte was ridiculous with how much everyone wanted to fuck the player. I hated it, and the game mocked and questioned you for not fucking everyone and everything that moved.

They do, but the don't allow for a lot of originality, so you get alot of samey designs and ultimately it doesn't feel like you've changed anything.

I don't see the problem.
If you played the game, each yellow dialog options enable different responses and even different dialogue paths that are logical roleplay wise. Not everything needs to have the kind of impact you’d expect from an immersive sim. Especially since that you play a set character in the universe.
haha, yeah. I'm 13 hours in and skipping absolutely everything dialogue related. none of it has mattered at all so far, except one or two convos at the climax of a quest. i have no clue what's even happening and i don't give a single shit either. hate how games are like this now

You say this like JRPGs are known for player choice. The vast majority of them are just railroaded visual novel stories with random encounters and boss fights sprinkled in.

it's weird to me that people call this a WRPG thing when Metaphor for instance had literal doesn't-matter dialogue where it was all flavour and the only consequences were sometimes getting bonus currency for picking the "right" option
