Agreed, but each big patch is like 3 hours of content and the endgame and events are total garbage. This will ultimately kill it.

I wish a normal, non-gacha singleplayer game had 3d anime models as good as this game's.

This game has been so confusing for me. I went into it thinking this game would have really good combat. Early game I felt the potential, dodging, learning enemy patterns and parrying timings. However, endgame just devolved into spamming rotations and being almost invincible the whole time. Most of the time I dont even need to use the dodge button, and I completely ignore parrying. Is it supposed to be like this? Why do nobody complain about this?

I also was hyped for 2.0, everyone said the story was really good. But its just the same thing, rover meets girl, then he meets next girl and former girls disppears from the game. Same in the rest of 2.0 patches.

Youtube and reddit keeps glazing as if the story is godlike and the combat is exceptioal. Am I doing something wrong?

Just go to youtube and search for Tower of Adverseity. Everyone just spams skills into ults into switching character and repeat. There is so much damage/invincbility frames that the enemy will never hit them.

I dropped this game right before they released Rinascita. Was thinking of getting back into it until I heard Kuro Games took a greedier approach with their anniversary and making new characters excessively OP.

Is it actually worth returning to as a free-to-play?

Eh, it's true they're getting greedy with making every character for the entire update work in pairs, so that at least 1 of the characters is significantly weaker if you don't have the other. They also changed the tower endgame so it no longer gives a generic buff, now the element and playstyle of the team matters so it became significantly harder if you don't have the matching characters. But it's not at a point where F2P can't keep up. Yet.

I'll take that as a no then. Sad to hear that Kuro succumbed to excessive greed, but it was inevitable with them getting bought-out by Tencent. Hopefully they didn't fuck with PGR too.

I can appreciate forcing the Chinese words in the writing, its just new vocab to me, but the super saccharine heckin wholesome writing is really hard to tolerate.
Combat and exploration were fun enough in a vacuum, I just couldn't stand feigning interest in the story.

2.0 story was good and the story was better than all previous ones (which is not that hard) also Carlotta is best girl but everything after that is shit again. WuWa is a game without soul because it's made to be Genshin without the things that make Genshin actually fun and all the fans are ex-Genshin players that are now "too cool for Genshin".
