This is the noir spinoff game, it's meant to be very dfifferent from the others. It's very well earned in my opinion, the jazz that plays in the hub sections is a poignant contrast to the rest. Grey is not what I'd call this game in context.

It's the only game where I completed the dex and I hadn't even finished a game since platinum. Just make sure to play on emulator for the frame rate and resolution upscale. It still looks pretty rough texture wise, but it has a lot of soul in its animation and environment, buried underneath the ugly facade and the catching and fighting is absolutely fucking seamless. It felt like an actual attempt to break the stale old formula, but the technical issues, not sure if caused incompetence or time restriction, didn't give them a favorable impression.

Shame that the drones cried about muh competetive modes and battles, so the next legends game is probably going to be a lot worse and considering it takes place inside a city, I don't really have any hope.

This event seems like such a shit show but in a fun way. Like all the times are fucked up on the schedule and in the booklets, there's audio issues, the runner's name doesn't flash when he's speaking when its meant to, the mic broke during the intro.

But there's a certain soul about it, I guess because we know its just a bunch of lads trying to put on a good event and doing the best with what they've got and if there's a fuck up they can laugh about it. The smallness of them gives them a free pass. The fuck ups make it more intimate because they laugh along with the fuck ups and talk about them.

I think thats why going corporate and "professional" is a mistake, you lose that persona lconnection but also the standards for your event become higher.
