My 10 year old self didn't see the complete and utter stagnation of video games coming and had hoped things would just keep better and better. He didn't see society itself turn into the shitfest that it is now, rather had dreams of it being great and something worth caring for.

My ten year old self was a kind and delicate soul. He would understand better than anyone being saddled with a burden too great to carry and giving out under it, despite one's best efforts.
It's for this same reason that I forgive my past self for fucking up my life, and my future self for likely still being lame.
