If everything in life happens perfectly, yes. But what if a shelf you put them on breaks? What if there's an earthquake? A fire? You need to move furniture around and the disc falls off? How about when you have to move to a new place?

My copy of Half Life from 1998 is perfectly preserved. I can download it from Steam at any time. What 28 year old disc do you have that works now?
