Kenny helps Lee as long as you helped Duck, as any decent person should. No other decision actually matters beyond deciding whether Kenny automatically joins or needs to be asked.

Yeah, she has some good qualities and cared so much about Clem that she started to change her outlook on survival for her. But she also was shown to be really manipulative and escalated her confrontations with an extremely volatile man to the point that it could culminate in tricking Clem in killing Kenny, just to prove a point. She's flawed and kinda stupid but so is Kenny.

Her death in ANF was an hilarious fuck you to the character, they just have her off herself after a few months with living with Clem.

Honestly, the biggest tragedy is that if both Kenny and Jane were able to find common ground instead of screeching at each other, they could have lasted a while, but that can't happen because there's no heavy hand to knock some sense into these two, just Clem who is not there yet. Kenny's mental health improves a ton after spending time raising AJ so he mellows out and Jane would have a safety net to give birth to a kid because Kenny has that knowledge. And Clementine could have two mentor figures that actually care and respect her so she doesn't have to carry the burden of raising a baby on her own.

It's easy to side with Kenny on the whole baby fiasco with hindsight. When I first played Season 2, Jane never told me about her plan. I'm not sure if she can with the right dialog options, but I just assumed a walker grabbed her and she dropped the baby or something, and was waiting for her to explain herself, but Kenny just lunged at her. She never really tells Kenny or Clem what "really happened", as in what lie would she use to justify leaving the baby. Kenny just assumed she killed him for no reason. As OP greentext says she saved members of the group multiple times, including Kenny. Kenny had no reason to jump to the conclusion Jane just abandoned him to save her skin.

Jane had a track record of abandoning or backstabbing every single group she was in or affiliated with, and Kenny just got done dealing with Mike and Bonny and Arvo stealing their supplies and shooting Clem, siding with the person that was literally responsible for Luke's death just to save their own skin. It's pretty fair to think that Kenny would have the mindset that anyone is going to be willing to do anything to be able to get themselves ahead, no matter who they fuck over to do so. And considering Jane's history, it's pretty reasonable for Kenny to think that Jane abandoned AJ.

She was the last to leave the RV the first time and there was really nothing she could have done after the plank fell on her head and disoriented her for a bit during her second attempt. Walkers were already on biting distance when she snaps out of it.
