Then they started going on and on about God. God's children this, God's love that, we are all God's children yadda yadda.
After that it was some bullshit about how the machines have souls, even the centurions.
By that point the skinjobs devolved into factional in-fighting just like...who? Humans
After the civil war and the final five reveal, the Cylons just ended up becoming another part of the fleet
The final nail in the coffin was how the 13th tribe from Kobol was Cylon (which made no sense because writer's strike) and finally at the end it just completely devolved to the point where Cylons and humans were essentially the same but just called by different names
The fact that they ended up becoming one race in the final was just...fuck me, I absolutely despise the "They're like us only different" trope and BSG was easily one of the worse offenders
