Which is such a shame, because the dungeons are really really well designed and very rewarding to explore. Especially getting all the treasures in a dungeon is such a satisfying endeavor.
I really hope I don't have to get hopelessly stuck every 2 hours into this game because it really breaks up the flow and takes a player out of the immersion.
As I say, I believe both times I got stuck was due to retarded and obscure game design choices that no person in the reasonable mind is supposed to guess.
And while in the process of consulting google, I fucking inadvertently got myself spoiled about the story and final boss.
Such a shame.
Just to back up my point, I have beaten phantom hourglass and ocarina of time, neither games got me absolutely stuck that I had to consult a walkthrough to get past.
So there's clearly some problem with the puzzle design elements in this game.
And of course there would be. Because it's not a nintendo game, it's developed by fucking capcom, the sadistic company that gave us ghost and goblins.
Nintendo only supervised the game development, I wouldn't be surprised if the game lead didn't even fully grokk the essence of the seamless flow of zelda games.
Fuck me this game had me smoking. What a shame!
