I don’t like Genshin, but one thing it did is shit all over MMO ingame movement.

Look at all the tabtarget mmos where you awkwardly jog around and ride your mount like it has the momentum of an office chair on carpet.

I bring this up because XIV is currently wasting their time making dungeons and even alliance raids. The walks to the bosses are visually interesting, but mechanically vapid (step on a geyser to go up to the next floor).

Look at Genshin, Warframe, GW2, even Warcraft with the dragons.
