You mean why he turned a warmongering asshole in 6 out nowhere, prior to that Jin was a guy who could screwed over by his grandfather and father due their eternal family feud and devil gene shenanigans, then 6 wants the player to accept went Jin started WW3 because he hoped to wake some old evil up and defeat it in hope of curing his devil gene.

Then it didn't work, oops. Such a retarded shift in Jin's character that 8 went above and beyond to make the entire cast grovel at Jin's feet to make him feel better about his brief stint as a warmonger like he just made an "oopsie", everyone makes me mistakes. Now his devil gene got converted into good boy angel gene and Jin is now redeemed, the end.

Harada and company made some stupid shift compared to the story that orignally going to be told for 6. It even goes against the initials reveals/engine tests for 6. Notice how they completely threw away Asuka following a similar path as Jun. Hate the nonsense they pulled with Jin. You could cut out everything involving Jin in 6-7 and jump straight to him overcoming the Devil Jin and stopping Kazuya. But noooooo. Harada just wanted another Kazuya.
