Just Cause 2 is open world done right, I mean it's still lacking in some areas but traversing is fun, fast travel is well justified and fits the game setting, also blowing shit up and using the wire thing doesn't get old, also helps that there's the challenges which add up to the game.

Elden Ring. I invade a lot. And when I want comfy gaming I just coop with randos at low levels, carry them through the game and defend them from invaders. It feels nice to help actual noobs. Sometimes I got summoned as a hunter or phantom in ganks and just pretend to fight the invader to waste a summon slot and give the invader a chance

It's the best Hitman game by a mile. At first I played carefully, then I played quickly and efficiently, but now that I've unlocked everything I just try to play cinematically. I'll wait on a rooftop with a sniper for 20 minutes for the perfect shot if I have to. I'll shoot targets in the street with a snub nosed, drop the gun and quickly walk away like in The Godfather. I realize as I'm typing this out how autistic it sounds

Borderlands 2 in all it's unapologetic cringe.
It's a wonderful nostalgic trip for me as an early zoom zoom.

I love having a wiki page open and gear-hunting in games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring and Remnant 2. It's like farming except you're going on a little adventure to find a piece of equiptment you'll never use. I played Remnant 2 for a day just to get a very secret weapon and then I uninstalled the game. If anyone knows of similar games to do this in then let me know

One of these. I've actually taken the time to replay them despite having basically endless new games to try as of getting a job. I think it's because they were the first games that introduced me to a fairly connected series of large-scale environments and had a tad more 'realism' to their 'stylized realism' (or at least had much more humanoid beings than Sly and Ratchet - not to dunk on them at all).
Jak is not even my favorite IP but compared to that IP each story seems a bit more capable of standing on its own. Circumstances here are odd though: I experienced 3, 2 and then 1, due to availability at Blockbuster. I usually wouldn't play a series out of order but 3 just seemed too cool to pass up. Due to the time machines it kind of worked out in a weird way that I played the series backwards.
