all 3 of your gripes are still possible if developers wanted to. also in wow classic i saw people using non meta builds in dungeons and nobody complained, i think a lot of peoples problems with mmos in le current year is that they have anxiety. i found that if i started saying retarded stuff trying to entertain people that my whole pug would all start talking

AI will fix this by creating fully populated MMOs were the npcs act more human than the faggots that play MMOs nowadays

>don't kick

>>There will never be another MMO not ruined by datamining

easy
>special event for weekends
>update is friday night
>update changes a few things like spawn locations of X or Y for the weekend
>data miners dont have enough time to data mine everything looking through the spaghetti code update
>event ends sunday night

>>There will never be another game where people don't kick you from the group if you're not using a cookie cutter build
also easy, but harder to explain. Basically just dont make MMOs that are 100% focused on raids, have other stuff that is worth while. If one spec feels like its the meta for everything then you have bad game design. If only 1 thing is "worth doing" at endgame then you have mediocre game design.

>>There will never be another game where most people are wrong about how the game works
happens all the time.
>best weapon set up for warrior in wow between 20-29 is dual wield
>best spec for low level warrior is arms
>best spec for low level warrior that is dual wielding is arms.
these are facts, most people who play wow dont know it though and they just regurgitate what content creators told them was the best way to play the game.
Also look at elden ring where everyone was complaining malenia was unfair, and making youtube videos about her mechanics work and how they never worked like that in souls before spoiler: they are wrong and dont know how 15 year old mechanics in the game work. "Most people" dont know shit about anything and only a small percentage of content creators actually know whats going on in a game.

1. Don't have a content release date. Release it completely unscheduled and wait up to 72 hours to release the patch notes. (This will really fuck up YT content trying scramble to release a video going through the patch notes, by the time it's released it is old news.)

2. Fix class design for a more generalized approach, every class should bring something valuable and unique to that class beyond the holy trinity. Utility like stuns, debuffs, threat distribution, Treasure Hunter (drop rate increases), this should have a meaningful impact and boss mobs should not be immune.

3. Hide numbers, put stat caps on attack, haste, accuracy but have their values completely unknown to the player, and make it impossible to parse that data accurately. It shows that you did a critical hit, but it doesn't show by how much. You can parse your critical rate, but not your damage multiplier. Some classes have a naturally higher multiplier.

It's impossible to bring back MMOs as long as streaming exists
People that get paid (or are trying to get paid) to play the game destroy the authenticity of interactions and challenges
