it would fail because gacha requires low investment grindy gameplay for dailies/weeklies to push players into purchasing materials to skip the grind. If the gameplay required thought players would just get burnt out way faster and harder from dailies than if it was braindead

Yes, and it's not necessarily even about 'filtering'. OSRS succeeds where RS3 fails, because you just point and click. There is a market for extreme simplicity.

Yes. If whales can't buy their way out of clearing something they'll quit. If it's possible to buy your way out then the gameplay can't be good. Only non gacha can have good gameplay.

Nu FIFA is technically a gacha game, and surprisingly, the gameplay is still quite deep and successful. So, I don't think it will fail it just depends on who it's marketed to
