Fortniteification of games has really made games lose their own identity in the pursuit of money. Can't even collab with something that might match the game world at least. Every franchise exist to just be a collab stage for popular game, manga, anime franchise, well known celeb or some musical rap, pop or kpop collab of some sort.

It's the unfortunate reality of the current situation.
The existence of large publishing entities, copyright and such wide media awareness means that crossoverslop was always inevitable.
Meanwhile the FPS itself was always going to become infantilized as the genre continues to attempt to target 5th gen dual analog controllers that are an overall regression when compared to just 1994 mouselook, let alone whatever is possible now.

The FPS genre hasn't moved forward much in 30 years and has regressed massively for the last 15-25 years.

It's grim. I'm glad to see some pushback against these types of skins on social media but I think sales numbers will continue to contradict our sentiments.

The demographic that makes up the majority market of online shooters are low skill mutts, niggers, children and dudebro normies. Maybe only half these groups engage in the discourse regarding the status of their game or genre. They need to be agressively social engineered by e-celebs and to stop the slop.

TL:DR = Uber casuals are the paypigs of the genre and responsible for the slop and will need to be MK ultra psyopped for anything to change.
