Since GTA V's release, lead Rockstar creatives Dan Houser, Leslie Benzies, Michael Unsworth and Lazlow Jones have all left. Many developers have anonymously opined that they were glad to see them go, citing their curation of a toxic environment heavy on unconcealed daytime drinking and constant dramatic arguments that would even sometimes lead to physical fights. Many have said that the office's atmosphere has changed from that of a "frat-house" to that of a respectable company. Current creatives intend to put great efforts towards an avoidance of punching down in humor.

4 or technically CW was the last core GTA. 5 was just reddit humor.

Obviously not. V and RDR 2 was very different from the recognizable Rockstar writing. I don't get how normalfags don't understand that when everyone leaves, that means it's not the same fucking company anymore. 4 > 5 in terms of writing and gameplay, 5 only beat it in terms of content. 5 was worse but still tolerable, characters still say memorable things and at least the game tried to look nice and smooth by turning it into a movie game, which obviously fucked the gameplay a bit.

6 looks like 5 but much worse. I can remember some things here and there from the gta 5 trailers but nothing from the 6 trailers besides 'we got this' or 'we stick together'. The game will still sell because it's popular and I'm not even saying 4 is the best one, but GTA 4 will be the last actual GTA game.
