To me, a fetish is something that IS NOT backed by evolution, and isn't related to the natural limbic arousal systems that humans subconciously have.
For example, men naturally develop arousal to Fertility Cues, which include gynoid fat, wide hips, good general health, and an estrogenic body type.
In other words, it's not a fetish to be attracted to sexy women with big butts. That's neurotypical behavior for men.
For women, they are evolutionarily attracted to dominance cues for provisioning and protection. Which includes high status, strength, size, wealth, and perceived power.
In other words, it isn't a fetish or greed for a woman to be attracted to big guys with big wallets, that's normal limbic behavior.
Even though it may seem like a fetish, a woman who fantasizes about being spanked, blackmailed, or raped might just be intensifying normal limbic behavior.
It never really is about the rape... It's about the power dynamic and carnal desire. And it's very normal for women to want those things.
Almost every women I've ever been with has had some level of that energy. Whether it was hair pulling or choking or whatever.
In other words, I'm not convinced this actually is a fetish or not.
Hypnosis and costume exist as a plot devide in the fantasy, but it never is about the hypnosis or costume.
It's actually about the loss of feminine autonomy, and shame of being fully submissive to a man.
Even ancient smut poetry plays into this dynamic.
There are female poets who wrote about small rabbits being chased in the woods by a big ferocious wolf with clear sexual undertones.
This strand of 'fetish' might actually just be normal limbic sexuality in disguise.
