Proof that soundtracks in videogames should be taken seriously and they will 200% enhance the experience

"If I'm involved in the development of the game and I actually enjoy the game, and I'm talking with Joe and I'm talking with Tyson, I'm understanding emotionally what they're trying to do, then my product will be better because I'm that deeply involved in it"
"Marty's pretty amazing: Marty makes, uh, pretty much everything we do twice as good and that makes me really angry because he's just about the only individual who has that level of contribution to the team... but I would never say that to him."

I'd say the themes of their new game allow for even more creative freedom in terms of soundtrack

I actually really liked this game so I'm kinda upset it wasn't that well received, I never found Trico annoying, he was a real ass dog cat

Trico was annoying, but that's the point and why they are so likeable. If he just automatically went to the puzzle solutions immediately you wouldn't feel anything for him except remembering that boring escort quest, instead the player will mess up commands on their end confusing Trico or he'll be a little it stubborn about something and all that makes it feel more realistic.

Just played this for the first time very recently even though I was interested in it pretty much since it was re-announced in 2015.
One of the best games I have played, but I do admit the first couple of hours make a bad impression on the player, and even with a good disposition it takes time to get used to it. During my first run I thought about quitting out of boredom a lot during that time, but I'm really glad I decided to stick around. Still, not a game that can be blindly recommend to everyone, but it deserved better.
Also yeah, the soundtrack is outstanding.

Sadly as a game that require a high IQ player it was doomed to fail.

As seen with stuff like lazily following after the yellow paint trend by many devs, a lot of the industry just encourages players to be more and more brain-off (for now).
