99% of RPGs don't let you use spells in creative ways. its bascially just different variants of "shoot a bullet" "shoot a slow bullet" "shoot a spread of three bullets". Optimal wizard play involves abusing pathfinding. And spellcasting itself is usually about scrolling through a long list of individual single-function attacks, unlike picking up a sword and having access to a big single moveset. No I don't want to be a wizard.

Your right. But there are games that let you get pretty creative with magic.

I liked echoes of wisdom. Just needs some kind of level editor so we can have actually difficult puzzles.
The power fantasy half is really good.
