Nintendo fucked me over with my Switch 1.

From Nintendo’s end, they see their servers being pinged at the same time by multiple hardware IDs with the same cart ID, something that can only happen if the cart’s been dumped and is being used by multiple people at the same time. There’s no magical way to determine that one of them is using the real cart and the other 500 people are using a ROM they downloaded, banning all of them and then unbanning the guy who can prove he owns the real cart is a fair compromise (keep in mind in 99% of cases that guy is also the guy who dumped the cart to begin with so Nintendo is probably suspicious of them off the bat)
