I didn't like how in Death Stranding 2, the story was like (SPOILERS AHEAD):

Oh btw Sam married his therapist. She cheated on him. Then died.
Turns out BB is his daughter.
Fragile dies.
He doesn’t even get to raise his own kid.
Dude got cucked out of fatherhood by fate itself.
Carries the apocalypse on his back, gets pissed on by ghosts, delivers Amazon Prime to holograms.
And just keeps going.
For what?
Kojima really said “endure literally everything” and hit us with Keep on keepin’ on like that’s supposed to fix it.

Like what's the overall message I'm supposed to take away from this?

Is SAM THE RAPED?

His wife was in the first game. The official record was that she killed herself after discovering what Bridget was using the BBs for but in reality she was accidently killed as we see in DS2. Sam then finds her when he returns back to the city but then she blows up making it look like Sam was the one who killed her.

Lou was then kept in hiding by Bridget so Sam could eventually reunite with her only for Igor to take her on that mission where he gets killed and Sam then unknowingly takes Lou with him on his journey to connect America.

I know they mention Lucy in the first game but I felt like them telling us she cheated on him was kinda pointless and just added onto the eternally suffering Sam
