Tyranny's relatively well known but it's a nice choice and consequence RPG. If you've already played most then it's time to expand your anus to accommodate text adventures too

I played Tranny. I plated suzerain and brante and they were fine except they were filled with leftist propaganda which I didn't like. Idk about roadwarden. It looks AI generated and quite boring but I may be wrong since your other recommendations are good

Check out City of Spells! It has an AI-powered Dialogue System that's super fun to chat/mess with.

I would but I’m not dropping three paychecks just to not look like a patchy Persian teenager lmao. Besides, laser doesn’t even work well if your hair’s light or your skin’s dark. God cursed me with both. Guess I'm stuck cosplayin’ as a PS2 Kratos mid-regrowth forever.

then don't complain ? life is really that simple, either do something or don't do it
>Besides, laser doesn’t even work well if your hair’s light or your skin’s dark.
but yeah, this is pretty tough to deal with. I think you need to go with electrolysis to get rid of light hair, which is an even bigger hassle. I'm lucky to have dark hair and white skin it's very easy to get rid of for me even if I was cursed with a decade of permanent shadow before I became an adult

If you already played New Vegas, which you did, you might as well not bother. RPGs for the most part are shallow garbage that gives you two maybe three (((morally gray))) paths per section and don't allow you to have actual freedom or an actual complex character to roleplay. You know, shit like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, that kinda slop. Worthless for roleplayers. Sometimes there are RPGs that give you the option to KEEL EVERYWAN like Balding Gays 3 and double digit IQs hail them as the peak of freedom in RPGs because they grew up on their Skyrims and their Fallout Fours and think KEELING EVERYWAN is some kind of massive superfeature when in truth it's supposed to be the basic minimum for a proper roleplaying game. Meanwhile the actual dialog and quest choices in those games are complete nonsense and the only way to roleplay a character that isn't a faggot is to KEEL EVERYWAN.
I'm telling you this because I myself kept looking for actual roleplaying games and have been extremely unsuccessful.

Based blackpilled RPG anon. You're absolutely right though-most modern "RPGs" are just barely-disguised visual novels with loot mechanics and cinematic fluff. That whole false moral dichotomy thing drives me up the wall.
>Do you save the innocent puppy or drown it to stop the dark ritual?
Gee, thanks BioWare, real Kantian dilemma there.

Closest thing I found to scratching the true roleplay itch lately is Age of Decadence. It’s janky, ugly, and actively hostile to players who want to dungeon crawl instead of politick, but it actually cares about choices and lets you build a character who *fails* believably. If you want more of that, check out Primordia for cyberpunk-flavored existential misery or UnderRail if you’re desperate enough to tolerate spreadsheets and turn-based autism. But yeah. We've been living in a post-RPG wasteland since Tim Cain sold his soul on Kickstarter.

Not sure if it counts as an RPG exactly but have you played banner saga trilogy? Lots and lots of choices and lots and lots of consequences.

Age of Decadence
Detroit Become Human if you count as RPG, but it is near exclusively focused on choice and consequences.

I actually was going to try Age of Decadence but never got around it since the devs increased the price. I'll look into it.
Primordia I'm not gonna touch because I prefer to make my own characters in RPGs. It does look pretty though.
Underrail I'm waiting for the DLCs to go on a good enough sale so I can play the whole package. Got the base game right now. I do actively despise how demanding the build system is because unlike, say, New Vegas, where I can get away with taking huge liberties with my SPECIALs, which I love to do because I like setting attributes for my characters that reflect their actual abilities (this guy is weak but tough and smart, that guy is strong but ugly and has low willpower, that girl has good eyesight but she's a bit of a retard), Underrail demands you practically minmax your build and not before reading the forums for which perk you'll need to take 34 hours in to not get softlocked. I'm still planning to give it an earnest try when I have the DLCs, however.
Overall appreciate your recommendations. 2 hits out of 3 is better than 0, which is what I usually get.

Turns out there is another game in a bundle with Age of Decadence called Dungeon Rats. You ever got to try it? Is it good, or is it just shovelware?

There is an entire trilogy now and you can transfer your save from the previous game to the next. Second game is the best.

40 dollars, never went on sale below 20. I don't think I will, I'm afraid. AoD is only getting a pass because it's like 3.5 times cheaper. And even then I'm still kinda on the fence.
