Burned all the goodwill from fans on the first game which released a year too early despite being pretty fun to play. NASB2 is a genuine ripper but it was too little too late

The first game also had an issue where it felt like it was a celebration of memes about the characters rather than the actual characters. Hugh Neutron, all of the SpongeBob taunts etc

Had no voices on launch which considering it was selling itself on "look and clap like a seal at the character you grew up with" is a deathknell.
