No the meme is that people swear it's lower than 1 in 4
>but it is 1 in 4
Doesn't change the fact that people swear it's lower.

Also just the humour of people throwing away a tarot selection thinking this might bet the time it succeeds.

No genuinely this item pisses me off. 25% is fucking bullshit for a tarot, you shouldn't have to run a specific build to pick this one. I legitimately get mad when I see that big fat NOPE pop up, like "FUCK you asshole hahahaha you really threw a hail Mary lmfao what a fag" FUCK YOU

Please, I beg of you, release more Jokers. All I want is a new pack every so often of like 5-10 new jokers. This is the best roguelike but it needs to have more of these fucker, like legitimately 4 times as many

It's the gambler's fallacy in action, anon. Every time you pull that Wheel and get slapped with the NOPE, your brain goes “well surely next time it’ll hit,” and then it doesn’t. Then you convince yourself the odds aren't actually 1 in 4, even though they are. At this point it's less about stats and probabilities and more about the game gaslighting you with a smug wink every time it punts your build into a ditch.

The gambler's fallacy is in thinking your chance of the next roll is actually better due to the past losses. But if you end up getting wins far fewer than a quarter of the time that would lead to the conclusion that the chance might be lower.

The problem is chances to spin the wheel are few and far between so you don't get much of a means to scrutinise it. Doing so basically confirms it actually is 1 in 4.

Have gotten back into this a bit recently
The game either needs to give you Director’s Cut from the jump or let you see all 8 boss blinds in advance. It’s fucking ridiculous to spend several antes crafting a build only to have that build hard-countered by a randomly selected boss that you can’t avoid. The 2 antes before you fight the boss usually isn’t enough time to pivot to a totally new build.

A good build needs good sources of Chips, +Mult and xMult. Of these Chips are the least important if your xMult is insane. You can rearrange Jokers, put xMults on the far right. Don’t try to level up all the different hands, to win you need to focus on a specific hand or suit that works with your Jokers and put all your eggs in that basket. Hunting for Jokers is more important than anything else. You should only move to investing in tarots/planets when you know which ones you need to strengthen your build
Follow these steps and White Stake shouldn’t be that hard.

You could have had all 40 level ups on just one hand type anon, and had jokers to support that single hand type to boot.

It's all about maximizing resources and your pack slots in the shop are part of that. You should grab as many arcana packs as you can anyway and oftentimes the wheel is the best option you pull in a pack just because of the situational nature of some arcana cards or their marginal benefit compared to how far ahead the wheel would put you if it hits.

You don't need a specific build for it, what are you talking about? It's like the least situational one after the money ones basically. It's my third most played arcana after double money and swap left for right.

i would rather limp over the finish line at a 10% winrate than my games all feeling the same. this game needs more variety. no matter what the fuck you are doing some jokers are just 100% picks so should be so rare that you never find it. blueprint and brainstorm should be legendaries. there needs to be a 5th tier of ultra rare just to make a majority of the rare jokers never show up. shit like ballot should be rare, at least. most successful games feels the same. i have played extremely awkward setups that carried me through and that is exhilerating, i want more of that instead of feeling like im deliberately throwing just because i see a blueprint and say "i don't want to do that AGAIN"
