At Cosmo Canyon and bored out of my fucking mind with this game. Remake was better, downright succinct by comparison.

I wish I could have told you this sooner. There is NOTHING that matters from them. You could even skip the green side quests too, but those aren't so bad mostly.

The game will end and you'll be like "why did I waste so much time doing this copy/paste checklist things?"

Outside of the 2-3 sidequest breaks in Remake, I thought it generally kept its story momentum going pretty well over 40 hours.
Rebirth starts with 0 momentum and still hasn't really picked up at all. You're just exploring for the hell of it, in the original there's also a sense of just kinda scouring the world to look for Sephiroth, but it's a LOT more forgivable when you're spending 2 hours in each area instead of 10. This shit is one of the most pointless open worlds I've ever seen.

I feel like I have brain worms or something because I feel compelled to do them even though I hate them. Spent this whole afternoon doing all of the Gongaga shit and wanted to die for most of it.
You're right though I should probably just completely ignore them in Cosmo Canyon and start rushing to the end to spare my sanity at least a bit.

Rebirth is one of the best games ever. If you are bored then it isnt the game, its just you, you dont care about the story, the characters or anything at all. Just play something else.
