If it's too late, it can't get meme appeal. The Holy Relic Sword and Mogwyn's Spear shit on just about every single other weapon in the game, but because you have to basically beat the game for one, and actually beat the game for the other, nobody cares.
Let me assure you, no matter how strong your weapon of choice is, ramming a Bloodboon Ritual up the ass of whatever you're fighting is at least ten times better.

For me, it was the Lordsworn's Straight Sword. Was one of the first weapons I picked up that I could use and I just upgraded it until the end of the game. Probably started dual wielding it around 70 hours in since I wanted more DPS and had the stamina for it. Was pretty fun to use something so basic to beat the game.

I'm glad somebody else sees it too.
It has reach all the time, not just with an AoW.
Plus you can use iaido with it which makes no sense but is potent anyway.
My character using a greatshield while doing iaido with a sword that's longer than his arms and impossible to draw that way is fun and stupid.
I can't wait to dual wield them in my next playthrough assuming it's possible.
