Great game with great waifus, but...
1) The game's been out for YEARS. Most people who wanted to play by now, did.
2) Levelling is so fucking time gated it's stupid. Most Gachas, before during and after BA's time, didn't arbitrarily limit your progression based on energy spent and capping possible energy per day. If I pull a brand new meta unit, I want to fucking make it max lv90 and deck that shit out immediately with all my stored materials like every other gacha I've played for the last 10 years. But no, I can only lvl to whatever Sensei level I am, so I can't take part in the higher end stuff without taking MONTHS to even get close to there.
3) Somehow their naming convention is worse than Chinese ones, they're all so generic besides a few (not to mention absolutely lazy translations like Aris/Alice, even fucking Ragnarok Online got that shit sorted) it's hard to figure out who the fuck the unit is by name alone until you memorize the whole goddamn school district's student population.
4) There's just...too many units and too much(!) content so there's no easy tier lists. A unit that might be SS in one place is D tier in another. "Just pull ur waifu LOL" doesn't keep people playing when the gameplay is ass and overcomplicated(which is ironic since there's almost no gameplay beyond skill usage)
5) This one's a personal gripe: Fuck VNs. VNs aren't video games, they're interactive stories at best. Thus, most of the story? Skip. Relationship stories for non-waifus? Skip. This recent Red Box event has had a lot more direct control and ingame interaction than I've seen before and I actually found myself paying attention to the story for once because of it.

One game takes 15 minutes to do the daily activity. The amount of concurrent players is low because they spread out over that times.
If all players were evenly spread across the day then it would have a concurrent count of 25

The other game takes an hour to do daily activities so the concurrent players will be higher.
If all players were evenly spread across the day then it would have a concurrent count of 100

If either game had all players on at the same time then it would instantly overtake the other.

When a gacha game comes to steam, it's because the money train on mobile is mostly dried up, and they want to renew the revenue stream for awhile before EOS.
BA was plenty successful as a new game. Everyone played or at least tried it already, except for this last batch of reserve wallets that doesn't play phoneshit.

BA is the one gacha I have sunken cost fallacy. I've been playing for a long time since dailies and events are very quick. There's not much daily investment and yet I invest every day into playing it.
