Whatcha playing this long over the hump day anons,just fired up pic-related after not playing the original for almost 10+ years & it's neat seeing the things mod'd with clear passion for the game can really crack out

I tested the new-ish 3DS emulator Azahar and played with MelonDS too. They're both neat. Never dabbled more that 10 minutes with 3DS Emulation before. I didn't realize bloom was such an issue in this scene. Unfortunately MH4U crashes on me every time I start a hunt. Generations works fine, but I can't find a cheat to get rid of the bloom. The Fire Emblem titles work pretty great, but Awakening's cheat for getting rid of bloom is a little wacky tobaccy and causes the game to dim a lot.

I've been playing Parasite Eve 2, Treasures of the Deep and Suikoden 2 the past week. They're all pretty fun.

Sometimes I emulate old games, sometimes I play them on modded consoles / with piracy devices, and sometimes I play the physical copies I own. It's all the same to me.
What makes emulation so different to you?

I'm a bout to install the psp version and go with 2 or 3 playthroughs, one vanilla.

Anyone tried emulating 3ds on Steam Deck? Idk what's wrong with mine but the input is so bad, I tried playing a game with QTE section and its legit unplayable.

The game is Digimon Re:Digitize Decode btw

Been playing through Dissidia 012 since I remembered really liking the first one as a kid. Really enjoying it but I wish I got to pick the character I play for the story missions like the first game where everyone had their own small contained campaigns.

Not very far into it though so maybe it opens up. Just feels bad to have to try and do these side missions with lvl 1 characters I've never been given the chance to play.

FF9 mainly. Also trying out MSX games. I don't know shit about MSX except it looks cool. Vampire Killer, MG1+2, maybe others later.

Years ago I played through all of SMT4A on citra. It ran at like 15 fps the whole time but I made it all the way. I would expect things to be a lot better by now.

i've been emulating pic rel on my 3DS among some other stuff, and emulating ps3 version of the pro yakyuu spirits baseball game on my PC lol.

i think tonight though i'm gonna try to get phantasy star online setup either on my PC or my homebrewed wii, and connect to the active PSO private servers that are still running.

Are we talking about the PSP one or the upcoming remaster (have we even heard anything from that yet)?
Either way I found the english voiceacting in WotL to be great even if it was only for a few cutscenes. I think the worst you could say about it is the usual criticism about its dense prose which is more of a problem with the translation than the voicework.

Convenience mostly. I went through an original hardware phase but it was just annoying to have to find space for the various consoles, plus everything looks like blurry shit unless I get a CRT which takes up even more space.
Also I'm a PALcuck.
I use original hardware for DS games but that's about it
