I don't think this game is all that good. It's obviously a hugely important and influential game, but it's not one that I want to go back and play. I don't think it's as good as other 3D platformers of the time. SMB3 and Super Mario World have aged beautifully and are every bit as fun today. But I personally never have the desire to play Mario 64.

It's terrifying.

I had the game as a kid. Never liked the format where it spits you out of the level when you get a star. I thought Banjo-Kazooie was leaps and bounds better.
