Admit that complicated legacy controls that only appeal to a stagnant "FGC" is too big a barrier to entry for most and drives the casuals that do buy in away.

Stop trying to appeal to both audiences by including legacy controls and a gimped casual control scheme that isn't the "real" way to play. This only serves to ultimately alienate the casual and hardcore alike.

Some inputs for elaborate supers can be tricky (particularly on certain control methods) but I still for the life of me can't figure out how so many people, many of whom are supposedly ardent videogame fans, get filtered by basic quarter circle or Z motions.
