Which retro shooters have must play SP campaigns?

I have played
>Half Life + expansions
>Doom 1 + 2 + 64
>Duke 3D
>Blood

Quake is next on my list. My only requirement is they have good modern ports. I don't wanna fuck around with no Dosbox.

maybe check out the Turok games. just 1-3. There's like no story in the first game but there is in 2 and 3

eh i only ever played doom2 multiplayer. quake1's "okay" but the style definitely also lended itself better to multiplayer.

FEAR 1 is godly, not so retro as all that though. you damn well better play perfect dark 64, the timesplitters series. hmm.

Shadow Warrior is the obvious choice after Dook and Blood. Since you've played Doom you might want to try Plutonia, maybe some fan .wads if you handle the difficulty

Dark Forces 1 and 2 if you don't mind Star Wars

There's also plently of throwbacks to retro shooters, like Cultic, Amid Evil, Ion Fury, but they're not retro per se

Also, Unreal. That's what I would describe as must play SP campaign. Only tried it for the first time two years ago and it was really good

Unreal. It keeps getting updates with the OldUnreal patches, so it plays nicely on modern systems. With such God tier music, enemy AI, and weapon variety, you just have to wonder why Epic killed the franchise.

Fpbp

A lot of people don't like turok 3 for some reason but its my favourite, love the 2 characters having different guns and routes in levels

Nightdive remastered all 3, honestly better than emulating imo because the n64 controller sucked and now it has proper kb+m support

Fear, HL2, Prey, those aren't retro. /vr/ definition can eat my ass.

Pretty much all retro FPS have a modern port or they are new enough where they run on modern systems. 3D on DOS is a very narrow time frame.

Serious Sam first and second encounter
Quake 1 and 2
Quake has a lot of good map maps, for example Arcane Dimensions
Doom has a ton and I mean TON of great map packs. you could just play doom wants for the your entire life and you wouldn't be done.
