The original looks bad when you zoom in, EE has way better graphics up close, and again the shadows and lighting is on point now, noticeably absent in outdoor scenes of the OG. The camera is way better now too, allowing multiple different options that are all decent. You can stop pretending the original was perfect and shit.

Yeah NWN2 is worth playing. The base campaign is whatever but it leads right into Mask of the Betrayer which is great. 3.5 D&D is a lot of fun and you'll feel right at home if you've played any of the Pathfinder games. NWN1 I wouldn't recommend if you're only interested in single player content.

The EE has noticably better camera (moves smoother, doesn't rubber-band, doesn't glitch into Strategic View randomly). For anyone who has played the original game, you know what I mean, and why it matters.
Other than the improved camera, WASD movement is improved too, though I rarely used it.

Both of these are downstream from the actual purpose of this relase: porting it to the Nintendo Switch. So console port + controller support are the main goal, and us PC gamers get better camera from it, and that's about it.

As with NWN1, I expect the EE will be objectively better after a few patches, and I expect we'll be recommending it to everyone when its fixed up in a few months. Right now, mods aren't all flawlessly working, and it sometimes crashes.

Main campaign starts slow so you need to be patient.

Some things are good i.e How side quests are handled, level and item progression.

But some plot elements detract from the experience like silly companions.

Overall the main campaign is okay if a bit generic

1 and 2 are both worth playing.
1 has the bigger community making modules and is considerably less janky but 2 is also good, especially the mask of the betrayer campaign.
Just skip the original campaign (the wailing death) in 1, it sucks.

If that's the case is there a list of recommended modules you'd trust that are NWN1 EE compatible? I feel like finally getting into 1

Shadow of undrentide and hordes of the underdark are official campaigns and are pretty good. They're connected so you start with undrentide and transfer your character.

I've only recently gotten into community modules but some I can recommend are:
>The Prophet series, big adventure with an amazing story. Every module made by this author is very good.
>Siege of shadowdale/crimson tides of tether and tyrants of the moonsea. Modules made by a well known author whose made a lot of quality modules. They're self contained adventures but designed for you to use the same character through the series.
>swordflight. Very challenging series designed for min max autists. Very good but not for beginners.

There's lots more on the neverwinter vault. Protip, installing modules can be a pain in the ass but there's an installer tool that makes it way easier, you should def use it.

Why do you make a thread on this every day. There are more posts about this game than people who own it. Play a genre that isn't for retarded casuals for once.

Fantastic thank you anon. Are the other official campaigns related to The Wailing Death at all or should I honestly just skip it?

NTA but the original NWN was intended not to have any campaigns at all
The goal was to produce a 'dungeon master game' where the DM would create shit for you but during play testing they realized that the majority of players would not sit autistically for hours while the DM put shit together and that also, not everyone had good enough internet to play so they put together the campaign quickly

It's not actually a bad campaign at all it's just incredibly basic in terms of 'you are the hero, go forth' and the twist is fairly obvious

I will say that if you intend to do SoU and HotU (you should), absolutely look up the plot for the first campaign as there are tieins to it in HotU
If you do play The Wailing Deth, do not carry your character to SoU or HotI. SoU's character can be (and is in lore) carried across to HotU

NWN2 is really shit. Obsidian should be punished for their deeds. You could put the exact same adventure in NWN1 and it would be better in every way

>shills
This cash-grab re-release is no different than someone like Piko Interactive taking a DOS game, slapping DOSBox with completely wrong configuration on it, and dropping it to Steam for retards to buy. No way they have budget allocated for actual shilling.
So call him what he really is: a naive retard.

How's the controller support for NWN2? NWN1 had terrible controller support.
