Solo sounds like a nightmare. I've only had 3 successful runs so far. And it's because I got lucky with competent team members. While I just bumbled about, trying not to die. The constant time pressure makes impossible to make smart decisions.

Anyway, I just figured out how to activate memories. The first one I did was raider's memories. His is pretty straight forward. You go in, defeat an enemy, and leave.
But then I tried ironeye's and wilder's memories. Those are more difficult. You have to go on an expedition, and find specific items. I tried it solo a few times, and couldn't find anything.
I tried it with multiplayer, and my team mates didn't go to my markers the first time, so I didn't even get a chance to search before dying.
The second time, they wait until second night before finally going toward my quest markers. And then I STILL couldn't find anything.

So now I'm confused. Does the item appear as RNG too? Do I need to be lucky to find it?

Solo is much easier than in a group. The damage output difference is insane and the amount of revives makes it way too easy.
