You are probably young. When you get older you associate good memories of the past with media you enjoyed during that time. Like I remember playing Project Diva 2nd in university and it has value to me that I can take my psp right now and boot up the game and it is exactly the same as I remember. Contrary to that I can't boot up Overwatch despite how huge and influential that game was for so many people. That game got replaced with OW2 and is unaccessible now. All the work that went into that game, all the memories people had - gone. And no it isn't just because it's a multiplayer game. I can still play CS 1.6 the same version I played at school but I can't play Overwatch that I played 9 years ago.
