No, it's like a five or six minute fight if I remember right. Omnimon gets so many turns and nearly always hits both Jesmon that you pretty much always do like 600 per one of his turns. Then just reup the counters like one or two times and he's dead. It's completely unnecessary for the CE Hard, this is strictly something I had to do on PS4 Hard because I had zero clue how to approach this at all. He would immediately just wipe my entire team if I managed to survive to that 20% left.

Yes, considerably. CE specifically backported all the HM rebalances and additions they did for Hard to CS making it significantly easier since enemies don't get full turn feeds of turns, deal less damage, and you have Sistermon available to be functionally invulnerable and immune to status effects. It also uses the HM rebalances for things like UlforceVeedramon. CE CS doesn't have to worry about Jimiken for example whereas on PS4/Vita CS his Flamedramon gets 6+ turns sometimes and he's, what, the second boss? The story fight with Kentaurosmon had the entire turn feed filled with just his face for example and you're supposed to win that fight which was felt like random chance that he did stupid stuff.

PS4 and Vita Hard basically mandated you have UlforceVeedramon which would give your entire team first-move priority (Instead of just for Ulforce in the rebalance) so that you could immediately slap Safety Barrier on everyone and then you essentially prayed to get good RNG as you tried buffing and surviving 5+ turns per every one of your turn. Leopardmon for example was you praying he did a basic Attack on one of your characters instead of his speed buff or full team attack, because if he got like five speed buffs off he was functionally Motting you.

I just did PS4 HM on Hard and outside of three specific fights (With one of them being a joke if you just Accel Boost + Lilithmon it) nothing comes close to PS4 CS on Hard. The rebalances and Sistermon really did make things more reasonable.

I can see why this franchise was never able to compete against Pokemon. They could have been cooler edgier Pokemon without having to go this far in that direction. Classic designs like Metal Greymon that still retain the dinosaur look but with some machine enhancements is as far as they should have gone. He is iconic and my favorite design for a reason. I tuned out of that anime show after the second group of kids took over. The one with Veemon or whatever its name was. iirc, Time Stranger's Greymon is leaning more into the Tri design versus CS's OG Adventure design. You can tell by the coloration.

You always see in these threads how many people want to use the lower levels more often and lament that the games skip to Mega too quickly, well this is one solution to that problem.

Not really what I was talking about. While there's an absurd amount of variant mons and even a moderate amount of literal palette swaps (even discounting Agumon) there's still a lot of variety and you can't really predict most of the time, especially with lower to mid evo Digimon.
Also, I wouldn't say Angewomon is out of place at all simply because again, variety. Sure, something like Kabuterimon looks like it's from a different series than her in a vacuum, that was the point, it's in a vacuum. In context Digimon doesn't follow that convention and consequently she's not out of place, nor is it surprising to see she's next to giant bugs or little fat ball shaped guys.

The farm/loading exploit isn't really that effective until you have multiple farms and scan data enough to do it iirc, it's also very much overkill until after the final boss fight. I wouldn't really consider that to be relevant here.

the fuck are you talking about? the moment you get to tamer town you can go downtown. 2 days and you get a batch of mons with 100% friendship to sacrifice (talk to them and use the v-pet toy to build up friendship). you get 15~20 per sacrificed mon. ~35 mons and you've maxed out one of your party slots. even fewer if you use equips
