Why are Jap devs using Unrealslop now?
Is it because these studios are full of pajeets now?

It's a lot cheaper than keeping a bunch of programmers to make your own engine.
Also they do like the results of the TAAslop

GOTY is Unreal Engine 5.

You will never be a woman.

You cannot refute this.

Modern "trannies" don't want to be women, they want the gibes.
It's at a point you could literally do a "you will never be trans, you have no disphoria, you don't feel like being a woman, you don't even try to look like one..." pasta

>capcom
Already started using UE.
>fromsoft
Literally using an unoptimized modified version of an outdated open source engine. Only a matter of time before they start using UE.
>team ninja
Already started using UE.

Not pepper mario i think. Pepper mario was custom engine. The last first party mario where u hop on heads with luigi used unreal engine but on switch it uses mobile features which are pretty lightweight

Because there's often no reason not to. It's like reinventing the wheel just to do 70+% of the stuff unreal already does for you ontop of it being better supported by having more documentation/understanding and more people trained to use it. You potentially just shave off time wasted actually building/learning the new engine.

Everyone has gone multiplat and Unreal makes porting easier.

if you're making a big game you have to release your game simultaneously on at minimum PC, one playstation, one switch, maybe two gens of each if it's a low end game, and maybe xbox if microsoft starts breathing down your neck
you need to quickly build for all those platforms and support 2-5 different rendering APIs
doing all that work yourself isn't feasible anymore, just license unity or unreal
you can kvetch about the industry getting lazier but major devs were already using western middleware like gamebryo, renderware and VV alchemy the past 20 years
phyreengine might have also been western? can't find tell for sure but it seems like SCEE made it

why do games look so bad, take so much space and run that bad? also why is everyone complaining about dev costs now and not years ago? i upgraded my gpu and monitor and RDR2 and witcher 3 are still better looking than anything new, a bunch of anons were calling me poor for using 1080p last year and saying it was the reason TAA made games look bad but now in 4K modern games still look like shit

Let's look at some fantastically optimized games that look stunning on in-house engines:
Dragons Dogma 2
Monster Hunter Wilds
Total Warhammer
Elden Ring
Rise of Ronin
Final Fantasy XVI

Wow! With these bangers you wonder why people even bother with UE5.

it's just cheaper and all your technical employees are already trained to use it because it's so ingrained in the education system

Most game classes now follow Unreal instead of Unity. More documentation also is a huge plus.

>Is it because these studios are full of pajeets
Partly yeah. But mostly it's because most devs, jeets or not tend to be contractors rather than permanent employees. And you can't have a game made in time using temp workers using in house software, takes too long to learn. Hence why everything uses unreal.
