Still waiting for them to make it "the most believable game world ever made" as they promised pre-release. It wasn't at release and still isnt now.

If you don't want to be held accountable to your own words, then don't make extremely bold claims. Simple as.

At the time of release, RDR2. Right now, KCD2. Both are far superior in terms of world/NPC interactions/behaviours which are essential for a world to be "believable". Even older games like GTA have better dynamic world interactions happening.

Cyberpunk just has very nice graphics going for it, but in reality the world is an empty lifeless shell once you look beyond the pretty surface.

similar to what >>715733001 said i enjoyed the gigs for the world building. the tigers doing human trafficking, maelstrom doing whatever the fuck with transhumanism/ AI/ 10th level of hell, militech pushing nomads out and civilians getting caught in the crossfire. i haven't tried RDR2 because i didn't really care for the first one and when KCD1 came out my pc was too shit to play it, so i haven't played 2, i'll give them i try at some point. i've just found the bar for open worlds to be low enough that i feel cyberpunk could be a contender.

I have no complaints about the gigs/missions and general story, it's all solid. But for a world to be believable, it needs to feel alive. It needs to feel like it doesn't completely revolve around the player, and that means sandboxy mechanics and NPC interactivity. Cyberpunk Fails in this department, it's just the most basic NPCs walking from A to B with a few scripted events thrown in, with very little interaction or reactivity.

Thankfully modders are trying to fix this part of the game, but there's only so much they can do and obviously that doesn't help others on console. I think the final update will be mod.io support just like they're doing for witcher 3.

i don't disagree with that, after i finished all the gigs it felt like no more heroes where i just rushed missions and the world was filler. the only game i've played where there seemed to be cool shit happening independent of me was skyrim with the interesting npcs mod.

but autists care about immersion, it's not your average joe that wants realistic needs for eat/food/sleep, AI-driven world interactions, to be able to sit down on chairs n shit. Autists love this stuff, they're the ones that end up making the mods for it.

The problem is that cyberpunk doesn't do gameplay/interaction immersion, it's entirely visual/story immersion.
