I may not be a businessman or business saavy in the slightest but it feels like if you feel comfortable removing 300 people from your company and still being able to perform then you're overhiring.

It's not like they're creating anything new, they're taking something already existing and putting a new coat of paint on it.

Because it's so easy to get fired it's also so easy to get hired. Companies are prepared at any time to onboard someone new at a moments notice because the whims of the managers are so fickle they could fire someone important because they don't bend the knee. People who do just enough to not get in trouble stay employed and then move to the next job as soon as possible.

It's been that way forever. Either outsourcing asset creation or hiring a bunch for the final sprint and laying them off when it's done. AAA studios usually are doing both. Microsoft even follows the 18 month rule just to avoid ridiculous overhead.

There's still companies who understand the idea of institutional knowledge and value of experienced teams used to working together.
Even in gaming it's mostly the AAA studios that have this hire and fire cycle and it shows. They have no idea how to work with the tools and everything is bloated and inefficient.

Aren't they a Microsoft-owned studio? It's no surprise whatosever that a company that brags about how their shitty OS runs on 30% AI-written code is going to gut their video game studios to churn out bloated games filled with AI-generated assets that are so unpotimized that they can only reach playable framerates by artificially interpolating the native 360p/20fps image to 4k/60.

No one said anything about that. That isn't what is being discussed. What is being discussed is that you know the difference between termination of employment for producing a single product (a game) and termination of employment for an ongoing service (hosting a recurring television show).

You're stupid. You have never played Oblivion Remastered. You just want to talk shit about Bethesda, which is fine enough, but what you posted isn't necessarily a bug, sorry. When you use the paralyze spell on something they become stiff like that and you can knock them around or make them fly. It is absolutely reproducible.

There are actual annoying bugs in the game, like the persistent spell effects that force you to reload the game to clear them. That's actually a really annoying bug. You can focus on the real shit without making things up, homo.

it will make everything more expensive and basically your dumb, you should kill CEOs, it's the best thing for a dumb person like you to do. because if dumb people start doing it, it may appear to be more random than it is and you'll be able to get a lot of them before they properly step up security. then smart people can start doing it.

It doesn't turn off gravity but it does lessen its effect, which is what is going on there. You, however, are passing it off as "look how broken and shitty this bear is haha!" which is disingenuous.

Why do people act as if devs somehow need to be employed when there is no work to be done?
If you have no project you have no work, that's how it's always been.

>You said "turn off" so I've got you now! It actually only reduces it almost entirely. And now I can safely ignore the word "intentional" and act like this is perfectly normal and reasonable.

Yeah when things get hit with a payalysis spell they become floaty. Wether that is intentional or not I can't say. But you are passing that off as "this is how the game normally is" and I said this many times, and I'll say it again, you are being disingenuous.

So are they shitting up the thread about this because they're trying to improve the image of the game or because they're trying to distract from conversation about society being degraded?

No, I was calling you disingenuous. Did you say the word too? I've only been reading the first few words of your posts because it becomes increasingly obvious that they're retarded drivel the further in one gets. But if you did say it: "No you."

It very well could have been intentional to make things floaty when under a paralysis effect, just cuz it's fun to knock something around and watch it fall over. But to pass it off as "this is just how the game normally is" is disingenuous (I will keep using that word since the brown trash seems to struggle with it).

Just be honest about the actual bugs in the game. Why is that so hard? There are plenty of real bugs in the game. Trash like you that make things up or intentionally misconstrue issues just make things worse.

Likely the latter, Virtuos is fucking HUGE. Despite what the title is trying to push in regards to Oblivion, they work on tons of games, both fully in house contract jobs as well as support studio work. They have over 4000 employees, that should speak to how much they work on.

>try to rehire the employees you laid off a year later when you have a new game in the works
>they are all employed elsewhere now
>you now have to hire unknown new hires who have no experience with your company or game engine

Genius business plan. Let's see how it plays out, cotton.
