>>715739057>Massive weapon varietyPretty much every single weapon in DS2 has SOMETHING going for it. There's still some bad ones, but a lot of otherwise unimpressive weapons have something really neat they can do, that can justify using them beyond "it looks cool". Unique animations sprinkled in with nice traits, perks to being an off-hand weapon, interacting with infusions in an interesting way, ect. There's like, five , MAYBE 10 weapons I can think of that have no real use, and most of those are redundant crossbows, catalysts, or weapons kinda intended to be memes like the ladle.
>Excellent build varietyPretty much anything is viable, in ways that feel like your build is working. There's obviously stuff that's better than others, but utter clown fiesta builds can still do some unique shit usually.
>Best stat balance in the seriesThere's really an argument for every single stat that just isn't true for most of these games. Sure, you can dump Int or Dex of your character doesn't use it, but there's usually still good reason to take it, and all the other stats are really good. You know it's good when Stamina doesn't also boost weight, and is still good to level.
>Best weight systemThe fact that you're not constantly trying to get as close to 29/69% as possible is neat. Every single pound matters, it's not a free for all until you hit the cap for your preferred bracket. Taking five pounds off by using a different weapon doesn't mean you go digging for slightly heavier gloves, it's an advantage in itself.
>Best spellcasting in the seriesThe casts per slot approach results in niche spells being much, much more useful since they aren't directly competing with your standard blast the same way. Excellent variety in both spells and casting tools that fit a variety of playstyles, and a gentle push towards casting being for everyone, not just "dedicated" caster builds.
