Why don't video games feature megastructures?
They're awesome.

What do they fill it with? I mean, even if you were one of those guys who doesn't really care about gameplay, and just want to walk around cool structures, still at that scale, even the rooms would get repetitive and boring to look upon. The developers can only makes but so many assets.

You can try The Witness. The game has audio logs, but they're entirely optional. If you don't interact with them, then there's 0 dialogue. But for completion sake, you should select the log, and then immediately select it again to turn it off. That way, the game remembers you found it.

you'll figure it out one day, in the meantime keep posting about why none of your games feel like they have a proper sense of scale when they're all first-person or third-person with the camera fixed in the same spot aka composition at all times, unlike all of your megastructure art

Games with normal structures already shit themselves into sub-30 fps, what do you think megastructures would give you?
On a serious note: those megastructures never look any good when you're actually playing a game unless you have fixed camera angles. All those pictures only look good because of the perspective, which you wouldn't have in a game, you'd only ever see it from first or third person view of the protagonist.
Take CP77, that game has megastructures but you never really give a shit about them.

I want a game that's just Blame! but it's online, however the catch is that the environments are so fucking large and take such a long time to get through that it can be days or weeks without encountering another human.
No chat, no communication, so you never know if they are dangerous or not.
Just wandering and climbing around these narrow corridors, small crevices and walking up stairs to emerge by a near infinitely large abyss.
Then you see what looked like another human on the other side of the chasm. Would be kino.
