Nothing. I've been playing this game for like 3 hours now, and sustained drops like this are legitimately rare. All other interruptions happen during partial loads or the "you got a banana" cutaways.

It's 60 FPS basically everywhere except opening a map screen and 1 boss fight. Meanwhile, the PS5 struggles to run fucking Path of Exile 2, FFXVI, and fucking Oblivion Remastered.

it's a title with very polished and satisfying "gamefeel" but they never quite landed on a really inspired/sticky loop. it's in a kind of weird space between action-adventure game with a skill tree, a level based mario galaxy-like, a creative exploration game....
it DOES work but i think the "punch everything / muh satisfaction!" iteration they shipped was a bit of a compromise after a long time in the oven and lots of different ideas. feels a bit like astrobot spooked nintendo and they tried to chase some of the things it did well, rather than really thinking through the destruction mechanic and building levels/enemies that compliment it.

It's fun. At worst, it's an 8.5/10 but I'm a longtime DKC fan so I'm biased. It looks better than videos convey. It feels better than Odyssey and I think the concept works better but I've seen people feel the opposite. Game feels worth it to me

The most frustrating thing is that it's probably running at like 58fps in reality but Nintendo decided that should lock to bespoke 30fps whenever a single frame drops. Most people wouldn't have even noticed the drops if they didn't use this dumb system that halves the framerate to cover them up .
